Not necessarily. It depends on your taste and the choices you make for your home. A spec builder may choose finishes or products that are less expensive to keep the price competitive. If you choose the same quality of finishes and materials, your home would be in the same price range. However, we have the ability to work with you within a budget so we can select different options to give you exactly what you want while staying in your budget.
Not necessarily – visit with us first. While all of our homes are truly one-of-a-kind and have been custom designed by talented third-party architects and plan designers, our most successful projects are those in which we’re involved in the plan development from the very beginning. We’re able to provide valuable information throughout the design process regarding building costs and constructability. We work with some very talented architects and plan designers, but it truly pays to have a builder in the room making sure you’re designing a home that can and will be built within your stated budget. We are there to value-engineer the project, quite literally, with every stroke of the architect’s pen. This beats designing a home on your own only to find out many months and many thousands of dollars later, that it’s going to cost way more than you wanted to spend. We’ve seen that happen way too many times.
